Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Style Assist, a wardrobe intelligence and personal styling service operated by Hiking Dog Productions, based in Montclair, New Jersey ("we," "us," "Style Assist"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Style Assist. By using the service, you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to enter into this agreement.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Please give us accurate information and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

The service

Style Assist lets you catalog your wardrobe, build and log outfits, track wear, and receive AI-generated styling suggestions. The styling recommendations are advisory. Style is subjective, and we make no guarantee about outcomes, suitability, or results.

Free trial, subscriptions, and billing

  • Free trial. New accounts include a 14-day free trial. No payment card is required to start the trial.
  • Paid subscription. After the trial, continued access to paid features requires a subscription at the fees shown at the point of purchase, billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. The free trial exists so you can evaluate the service before paying.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription pricing. Any change will apply to your next billing period, and we will give you reasonable advance notice.

Your content

Your wardrobe — your photos, descriptions, outfits, and logs — belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and provide the service to you, including sending the relevant details to our AI provider to generate suggestions, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to upload it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Style Assist to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload content you don't have rights to, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or access it through automated means without our permission.

Intellectual property

The Style Assist application, its design, branding, and underlying software are owned by Hiking Dog Productions and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or software beyond using the service as intended.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hiking Dog Productions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends; the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Essex County, New Jersey.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
